Bill graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School, where he played trombone in the marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, and orchestra; sang in the mixed chorus and concert chorale, and played mallets and timpani in the percussion ensemble.  While a member, the marching band earned two Chapter VI Championships and two Atlantic Coast Championships, including a high brass award his senior year.  In 2000, Bill earned a spot in the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from Canton, Ohio.  He played baritone on the national summer tour, where the corps earned a Finalist position in the ‘elite top 12’ at Drum Corps International World Championships.

 

After graduating, he pursued and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from West Chester University, outside Philadelphia.  While in college he began working with the West Perry HS Marching Band as well as writing drill for the East Pennsboro Indoor Guard and Marching Band, the Archbishop Ryan Marching Band in northeast Philadelphia, and the William Penn HS Marching Band in New Castle, Delaware.  His drill writing credits also inclue the Palmyra and Perry Hall HS Marching Bands.  He has been certified as a marching band adjudicator for the National Judges Association, the parent organization for Tournament of Bands.

 

Bill recently earned his Master's Degree in Economics from Temple University, and now resides in Lewisberry.
