Ryan Williams
Music Arranger
Ryan Williams brings to East Pennsboro more than 25 seasons of marching band experience
spanning 15 years in the activity. He has served in a variety of roles as a marching
member and instructor, including visual and music technician through arranger
and designer.
Ryan began his career as an
instructor immediately after graduating from high school, working with
Mechanicsburg High School’s marching band, helping to lead the band to success,
and eventually to an Atlantic Coast Championship in 1999. As he gained
experience, Ryan moved after bigger roles with other band programs and became
the head visual instructor with West Perry High School in 2000 and 2001. After
a year off spent in Basic Training with the United States Army, Ryan moved to
East Pennsboro, at first as a music and visual
technician. Currently, Ryan works on the East Pennsboro
design team, working with the visual staff and band director to develop the
show concepts, and then putting that idea on paper in the form of music
arrangements.
Away from East Penn, Ryan has
completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education at York College,
in York, Pennsylvania. He now teaches band and music at Perry Hall High School,
near Baltimore. In addition to teaching high school band, Ryan also
serves as an enlisted bandsman in the United States Army Reserve as an
instrumentalist and the unit’s resident arranger.
